What To Expect
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed — you are welcome to get in touch directly. You can start with a free telephone consultation if you’d like to have an informal conversation first, or book an initial appointment when you feel ready.
How do I book an appointment?
The simplest way is to call me directly. Alternatively, you can email jonny@foundationforlife.co.uk, use the contact form, or arrange a free introductory telephone consultation by clicking the Enquire to Book button. New patients are always welcome to start with a telephone consultation if they’d like to find out more before committing to an appointment.
Do you offer same-day or urgent appointments?
Where possible, yes. If you are in urgent need of an appointment, please call me directly rather than emailing — this is the quickest way to check availability and arrange something at short notice.
What should I expect from my first appointment?
The first appointment lasts about an hour and begins with a detailed conversation about your health history — not just your current concern, but the wider context of your life and health over time. This is followed by a physical examination looking at posture, movement, and neurological function. Towards the end of the appointment we discuss the findings together, explore what your goals are, and have an honest conversation about what progress might realistically look like and how we might work towards it. Most people leave with a clearer sense of what may be contributing to their situation, even if the full picture takes a little longer to emerge. It’s helpful to bring a list of any medications or supplements you are currently taking, and to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement — trousers/jeans or leggings are ideal. If you’re coming straight from work, it’s worth bearing in mind that skirts or formal clothing may be less practical for the examination.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance providers directly. If your policy includes provision for chiropractic care and reimburses you retrospectively, you are welcome to attend and pay at the time of your appointment — I can provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurer. If you are unsure whether your policy covers chiropractic, it is worth checking with your provider before booking.
